Ladder Safety
Guardian can supply a variety of devices to assist duty holders in providing a safe method of working at height from a ladder. It is recommended in BS 8213 that when ladders are being used they should be secured at the base to eyebolts. It is also recommended that the top of the ladder should be secured if possible. Use of ladder ties will help fulfill the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Ladder Ties
Discrete Stainless Steel anchorage points are fixed to the exterior face of a building; these ladder ties are a proven method of preventing ladder slippage during use.
Adjustable webbing straps are attached to the wall fixed anchors to form a solid ladder position.

Ladder Guard
The ladder guard has been developed to secure ladders, preventing unauthorised access and avoiding potential health and safety risks.
The ladder guard offers site duty holders a number of advantages when compared to alternative methods of securing ladders, including;

Quick and simple to fit and remove the unit from virtually any ladder - temporary or fixed.
- Clearly displayed hazard warning and prohibition signs.
- Increased security, the unit being securely padlocked to the ladder.
Other advantages of the system include:
- Light weight, rust free, aluminum construction, allowing for ease of handling and minimal maintenance.
- Ergonomic handle, positioned to allow the unit to be easily handled and fitted by one person.
- Flexible control policy, the ladder guard unit is supplied with a normal padlock key, however they can be supplied with a padlock with a common key, or a combijation lock, allowing either a restricted or a more general access to ladders.
